Silicone Sponge

Silicone sponge is closed cell and made from a premium silicone compound. This allows it to be waterproof and airtight even at higher temperatures. It displays excellent resistance to UV making it suitable for outdoor applications.

Plastic

Virgin PTFE (Teflon)

PTFE is a high quality plastic with almost universal chemical resistance and high temperature resistance. Its low friction qualities give it excellent non-stick and release properties. PTFE can be cut into flat products like gaskets and washers, and can also be easily machined for bushes and seals.

Expanded PTFE (Sealon)

Sealon expanded PTFE is made from 100% PTFE with a process that creates a uniform and highly fibrillated microstructure, allowing it to be soft and pliable. This makes it excellent for gaskets and seals. It displays excellent resistance to an almost universal range of chemicals.

SC1400 Pink Seal

SC1400 Pink seal is a modified PTFE gasket sheet with silica fillers. SC1400 is suitable for a wide range of chemicals as well as the food and pharmaceutical industry. Due to its mechanical properties, it is much better suited as a gasket over virgin PTFE.

Felt

South Eastern Gaskets can cut and supply felt products in a range of various types of felt. Felt is commonly used, but not limited to, shaft seals, lubricating rings, insulation and much more. Most commonly, we manufacture components from engineering grade felt. This felt comes in three ranges:

  1. ‘A’ Grade felt, a high grade and high density felt recommended where high wear is present.
  2. Firm White Felt (FWF), a high grade medium density felt with good durability and resilience.
  3. ‘B’ Grade felt, a high grade low density felt, for general purpose use.

ARMALIT is a non-asbestos laminated jointing material composed of beater addition paper inserted with a perforated 0.20mm thick carbon steel sheet. The beater addition paper is made up of mineral fibres and fillers and bonded with elastomer. It is also finished with a graphite finish. It is most commonly used within the automotive industry for head gaskets and exhaust manifold gaskets.

FASIT FA-212/ BA-DSF

DSF is a non-asbestos laminated jointing material composed of beater addition paper, sandwiched between two perforated tinned steel sheets. The beater addition paper is made up of mineral fibres and fillers and bonded with elastomer. The double steel face strengthens the material making it resistant to deformation. It is most commonly used within the automotive industry for exhaust manifold gaskets.

Sealrite POJ (Paper Oil Jointing)
